"Everyone wants a piece of Lady GaGa right? All except designer Antonio Berardi, it seems.
"I was approached to design a clothing range with Lady GaGa but I knocked it back because I wasn't interested in someone whose music is meaningless,” the British designer told the Herald Sun while in Sydney earlier this month. Seems Berardi wants to play the long game. "Her music is meaningless now so what impact will it have in 20 years?" he mused. We don’t know, Poker Face, in which Lady GaGa wears one of Berardi’s dresses, is pretty darn catchy.
But don’t mistake his snub at Lady GaGa as prudishness towards some of her shocking outfits – this is the man who grabbed headlines when he dressed Victoria Beckham in those incredible heel-less boots and Gwyneth Paltrow in a see-through lace panelled dress.
Lady GaGa meanwhile, has recovered nicely by performing for Queen Elizabeth and appearing in the new M.A.C Viva Glam spring campaign with punk princess Cyndi Lauper.

Oh my! Finally there's someone from the fashion industry who doesn't like her!! Personally I can't stand her she reminds me of Paris Hilton, both vacuous and pointless creatures who have no talent and rely in gimmicky publicity. I mean have you seen the interview Gaga did here in Australia on Rove?.....talk about sloooooooow. She should change her name to GagGag, but I do listen to her music because its all over the radio!! Everything about Lady GaGa is so contrived and really her songs are quite ordinary. There is no substance, it's all just controversy and fashion. She's not musically innovative at all and really her publicists and stylists should be the ones getting all the credit. meow!
Ciao!
xoxo
