My Musings of the Day

Hello Glamouristas! How are we today?
I have a few pictures I want to share with you that has sparked my inner thoughts to be more curious! :)

And rightly so!!

So I'm not sure if you can notice but I'm developing an obbession for bird tattoos,
I find them so sweet and interesting.

Can you imagine if everyday your cupcakes would look like this?
How much fun does that make life?

Book Must-have! It's on my wish list!

So I've heard all the raves about Lula Magazine, I'm curious as to whether I should
get a subscription because I can't find them anywhere in Australia

Don't you just LOVE pistachio green with gold? I usually don't like brown but
it just goes beautifully in this space!

The words every man should know.

With Australia day coming up I saw this picture and thought, hmm I could really make
the Australian flag represent me with floral fabric! Make Your Own Aussie Flag!

I just really love combining whimsical art with the known.

Call me crazy but life is better when all your hangers match! I'm loving this driftwood burnt look!

So Glamouristas, a short but lovely post. Gets me thtough the day knowing there's something beautiful in everything.. well most things!
Have a lovely afternoon!

Ciao!

New Day, New Things

Hello Glamouristas!
What a great morning it is! It has stopped raining & the sun has finally come out to play.
Speaking of play, I had so much fun sourcing these pictures that I know will please the eye!

Oh I just love Koi Fish, I hope one day that i'll have a pond for my son & I to enjoy. He'd be thrilled if he can throw something in the pond and just watch them magically move and shimmer in the sunlight, oh yes I can dream!
Could you imagine the white koi colours onto silk fabric, that would just be LUXURIOUS!
Hmm, wondering how I can replicate that...ooh I feel a project and new obsession coming on!

HOW GORGEOUS ARE THESE?! I found these at a site called www.tablefortwo.com.au
and one guy alone made over 100 macaroons, provided a witty post and beautiful pictures. Really, it has made me really want to perfect the art of macaroons and learn to make them!

AWW, does anyone remember these gorgeous baby pegagsus'? From Fantasia.
Facebook is going through the latest craze to promote the end of child abuse by changing our profile pictures to our favourite cartoons as a child, I chose sailor moon even though I wanted these guys but they're from a movie and not a consistent show.

This would be a great sign to put out the front of my house! HAHA!

Sea of shoes blogger, Jane Alderidge. Her bedroom! Imagine waking up to your imacculate and impressive shoe collection? Oh i know i would love waking up if my room was like this :)

"Audrey in my Tea" - I don't remember where I found this but I ABSOLUTELY love these! Great way to have some company over for tea.

There's that blue couch I've been dreaming of! Honestly this would just liven up my living room!

Life is about the simple things.

I feel so much more “pulled together” when I make the effort to just putter around my house and draw fashion, thumb through a magazine, or read a book with my dogs inside napping.
Don’t let life take away the magic of lying in the grass, daydreaming, and looking at the clouds. Don’t let obligations rob you of the joy in rocking in a rocking chair on the front porch or the delight found in enjoying a slow stroll around the neighborhood.

We only have one life. We only get one chance to raise our children. Don’t miss out on all those moments that can only be captured in the still calm of life.

I'm really looking forward to the birth of my son and raising him to be an impressionable young man who enjoys the simple things in life.

Hello Glamouristas!

So much has happened, so I better get on with catching up on lost time with you lovely Darlings!
Isn't it funny how everything can change in a split second? All I can say is PLEASE trust your instinct, if something is wrong DON'T ignore it my darlings, it will save you alot of hurt!
Right, let's sparkle away the hurt with these LOVELY pictures that I've found recently!

I would love to either frame this or get it printed onto canvas, it'd be the perfect artwork for my Bathroom! Retrieved from www.fashiongonerogue.com

Offically in search of the perfect Yellow jacket...Honestly what better colour would make an outfit pop the way this does? Even with the most simple accessories...
 retrieved from www.jakandjil.com

I would really love these hanging on my kitchen wall, i seriously have an obsession with all things BIRDS!
Retrieved from Oneclaybead on http://www.etsy.com/

My New favourite colour I even bought this colour in nailpolish & am wearing it as we speak, I've even thought hmm time to change the Black & White up a bit in my bedroom & I've decide to add this beautiful colour. Now I'm confused as to what this colour is called...Pistachio?
Zebra Mask by MATTY8080 on www.etsy.com

I just ADORE this nursery, it's so gender neutral! PERFECT!
Exactly what i'm aiming for even though i know what gender I'm having!

MACAROONS! These would be perfect sweet treats for the baby shower!
Now I just have to learn how to make them!

I'm in the process of making Baby shower invites, Xmas cards, Bib necklaces for girly presents... Oh and I will be setting up shop on Etsy.com in the new year! Look out for OliviaEmmi in the sellers list!

So in the mean time Glamouristas, stay beautiful and happy & I will see you soon!

Home Decor Ideas

Hello Darlings!
I found these beautiful pictures from susiebubble, the Rodarte Campaign... I thought these would be wonderfully beautiful printed onto landscape canvas... which I can get done at Big W at a reasonable price.. they start from $25 up to $120.. you can also use Harvey Norman to get them printed, I have a considerable amount of wall space in my home.

Another thing I plan to do is buy and paint MDF sheets white or white primer and get some black chalkboard paint, since I have limited hooks (I have a rental house) I decided I could just lean the sheet onto the wall with a foam protectant on the lean point, so it doesnt scratch the walls.

Although I would love to do what these guys did below.

Great idea isn't it? and i am quite irrationally jealous :)
Some of the Hand Me Down crockery and plates etc are quite dated... I also would LOVE to get some tile paint and renew these so I don't have to buy anything.
Not sure what colour I want my kitchen scheme to be yet....
Any ideas?

I picked up some free posters from the local video store, and i'll get some plastic poster clip frames which I can pick up for $19 at the Reject Shop...
There is this gorgeous storage ottoman i'd love to get and it's only $100!.. Also will be on the hunt for a rug too, to keep the carpets clean. I'm thinking Op-Shops might be the place to start! BUT!!! Make sure you clean them before you lay them down... you can pick up a carpet cleaner vaccum for hire at your local supermarket, it's something like $30 a day.

What do you think of these colour schemes? Add Black, white, silver and a hint of gold in the mix... Risky much? I think it could somehow work....

or maybe something like this, which i got from Coco Kelley.

So many ideas, so little money, so join me on my massive hunt for the cheapest chic to make it look like a million bucks :)
(a fabulous trait I picked from my gorgeous mother, Donna)

Vintage+paperbacks= Great home art!

Just an idea i've been hovering over for the past few months, can't wait till my roommate moves out so i can finally decorate the place like i want it, i have so many plans, since its a rental i'm going to be getting a few MDF boards to lean up against large spaces of walls and hang my paintings on or anything else i want. i've considered going to goodwill stores and getting furniture with drawers and take the drawers and screw them up onto the MDF as a quirky storage unit.

So many ideas. so little time :)
I hope you enjoy these, these are a lost art!!
